Meet Dakota Wagner – Odin Disc Golf Ambassador 2026

We're stoked to introduce one of our newest ambassadors for the 2026 season — Dakota Wagner from the Tri-Cities, Washington. Dakota brings a rare combination of competitive fire, genuine love for the game, and a heart for growing the disc golf community.

A Player Who Lives for the Game

Whether it's a casual round with friends or a high-stakes tournament, Dakota is all in. He's passionate about every aspect of disc golf — the strategy, the form, the feel of a perfect release — and he's just as happy helping a new player find their footing as he is grinding for a podium finish.

"I believe it's important to always have fun but also be competitive," Dakota says. That balance is exactly what makes him such a great fit for the Odin family.

What's in the Bag

If you're watching Dakota on the course, keep an eye out for a few signature discs. His go-to throws include the PFN Teerex and the Destroyer — discs you'll almost always see in his hand. He also keeps an Anax and a Firebird close by for those moments when consistency is everything. Speed isn't the priority — control and confidence are.

Favorite Courses

Dakota's top three courses are a Pacific Northwest staple list:

  1. Caliber – his all-time favorite
  2. Milo – a close second
  3. SeaTac – rounding out the top three

The Moment That Changed Everything

Every competitor has a defining moment. For Dakota, it was the 2023 26th Windy Cities Open.

Going into the final 13 holes, Dakota was sitting 3–4 strokes back from the lead. Then something clicked. He went -5 through the first 6 bay holes while the leader shot -1 — erasing the deficit and pulling them even. Dakota didn't let up. By the time the final scores were tallied, he had finished 2 strokes ahead of the field, shooting a 1023-rated -10 round to claim his first real tournament win.

"That moment opened my eyes to how good I can be and the level I can get to," he reflects. It's the kind of breakthrough that defines a career.

Why Odin

Dakota travels all over the Pacific Northwest, competing and connecting — with seasoned players and newcomers alike. He's the kind of ambassador who will hand a new player a disc just to help them enjoy the game more. Positive, driven, and community-minded, Dakota embodies what Odin Disc Golf is all about.

We're proud to have him repping Odin in 2026. Follow along as he competes across the Northwest and keeps growing the game one round at a time.
